Inglot Products & Swatches

So I've been wanting to try out Inglot Cosmetics for a while now but for some reason, I haven't had the chance to purchase them. I'd always go to the website, throw things into my cart but could never checkout. I'm sure some of you are like that too right? LOL. Maybe it's just me being so darn indecisive that I just can't make up my mind as to what I want.

So anyway, Elba from ihearte.com was kind enough to send me some Inglot products to try out :) I really can't thank you enough, Elba :) Your kindness & generosity exceeded my expectations :) Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Below you will find swatches of the products that I received. I seriously can't wait to use these products! *screams* All photos were shot with flash. I'm sorry I couldn't take pictures during the day. Swatched on my forearm, no base. MAC NC50 for reference.

REVIEW: Sinful Colors Crackle Nail Polish

Product name: Sinful Colors Black Crackle
Purchased at: Walgreens
Product price: $4.99

Product claims: I could not find information on this at this time.

Would I re-purchase? Yes!

Final thoughts: I've never tried the OPI or China Glaze crackle polishes before only because they're just hard to find in my area & online is always sold out. However, I will settle for this. I do like the crackle effect. You definitely have to apply a thin coat of crackle nail polish & quickly to get a nice crackle effect. As you can see in the photos, I applied a thick coat. The crackling effect will start to take place almost immediately which is something cool to watch. It also dries fast. I used different brands of nail polishes to see if the crackle polish would give different results. It pretty much gives the same results. I wish I picked up a few more of these so I could give some away. I will stop by my Walgreens again tomorrow to get some & I hope they're not sold out already :( Have you tried this out yet? If so, lmk what you think of it.

Nail polishes used from left to right:
Sinful Colors Folly, Revlon Ocean, China Glaze For Audrey & Milani Purple Rush.

Birchbox: September

Where do I start? First off, my Birchbox was nearly a week & a half late. WTF?! I usually receive my Birchbox subscription around the 8th-10th of every month. Would you look at the date today? (this post was pre-blogged on 09/21/11) Mmm hmm. I am not a fan of tardiness, especially when I'm paying for something! I expect to receive things on their appropriate dates.

Secondly, everything in the box was 'whatever'. It's useless to me IMHO. This is the second month in a row that I paid $10 for samples that I know I'll never or barely put to use because I don't need/want them. In all honesty I'll probably put the nail strips to use just to test them out & that's about it.

Yes, I understand that this is kind of a "hit or miss" thing but to receive crappy samples just 2 months in a row plus late shipment is totally unacceptable, especially if you're paying for it :(

I'm beyond annoyed about everything BIRCHBOX right now. So if you're curious to see what I received for my September Birchbox then keep on reading. I'm sure everyone probably already know what's in the September boxes. Unfortunately I didn't because mine was late. Errrrr!

So what do you guys think? Should I cancel my subscription or wait to see what October's box will be like? Has any of you subscribed to Birchbox before & canceled due to the products you were receiving? Let me know!

10 weeks old already?

We are over the moon about this little one that joined the family just recently =) I can't believe she's already 10 weeks old. She's grown so much in just a weeks period. Definitely getting fatter by the moment haha. Happy 10 weeks Belle girl ♥

Product FAIL: Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle Nail Polish in Gentle Blossom

Product name: Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle Nail Polish in Gentle Blossom
Purchased at: Walgreens
Product price: $6-$7

Product claims: Nails grow 30% longer in just 5 days.* This exclusive nail color formula with Peptides, Keratin, Biotin and Multi-Vitamins, reinforces nails to resist splitting, cracking and breaking. *Based on a fixed point nail measurement in 5 days.

Would I re-purchase? NO.

Final thoughts: I just couldn't get this nail polish to work for me. I tried applying it over a base coat & it didn't work. I tried without a base coat & it still didn't work. In the picture, that's 2 coats. You can see that it's not opaque at all. The brush is a bit weird for me. It has a flat shape & picks up the nail polish in a strange way. It didn't distribute the polish evenly. I could not test if the growth process of this polish is true to what it claims because I am not wearing this nail polish around with it looking like that. The color is gorgeous though, I must say. It's a nice, mint color with tiny flecks of sparkle that are noticable. I'm on the hunt for a beautiful mint shade so if you folks have any suggestions, please let me know.

Blogger Awards #3

I have received yet another blog award from Holly over at http://www.fashion-beautyx.blogspot.com. I'm sure many of you know her & if not, please stop by her blog. Thank you so much Holly! I feel so special :)

- Thank and link back to the person who awarded you
- Write 7 random things about yourself
- Spread the love to 15 other bloggers

My 7 random things:
1. There's only a handful of people that I like being on the phone with, other than that I'd rather text than talk.

2. When I clean I always feel the need to throw things away if they're in places where they don't belong.

3. I'm not a huge fan of ice cream but this pregnancy has got me craving for it a lot.

4. I lose my patience very quickly.

5. I hate my hair. Although it's healthy, it's hard to do different hairstyles with it because my hair is stubborn.

6. I hate long nails! Whenever they grow I always cut them.

7. I have a FOUL MOUTH >_< Bad, I know.

Now I pass this on to these bloggers:

HAUL: Drugstore Nail Polish & Lipstick

I'm back with another haul from Walgreens. I went there to buy my friend a birthday card & came out with other stuff. That's always the case.

The lipstick is from Cover Girl. It's called Delish. I was on a mission to get my hands on this lipstick after I saw Kris from thelipjunkie.blogspot.com post swatches of it on her blog. Longs didn't have it. I found one at Walmart but it was used. GROSS. I guess third times a charm :)

The Sinful Colors nail polishes from left to right we have Courtney Orange, Black on Black & This Is It. The orange & gold color were applied with 2 coats & the black was 1 coat. The black is opaque as hell, although the camera did not pick that up.

The Milani High Speed Fast Dry nail polishes are (L-R) Blue Lightning & Purple Rush. These polishes claim that it's a one coat formula. I will do a review on these so stay tuned. I did apply only one coat for both colors though. I'm a bit impressed.

Pregnancy Update: It's A Baby . . .

GIRL!!! We found out the sex today & I was just ecstatic to find out it was a girl. I mean, any sex would have been fine for me but since we already have Landon, a girl would just even things out in the family.

I can't wait for all the mommy-daughter dates that we'll have. Getting our hair & nails done, getting her ears pierced, shopping, makeup, telling eachother secrets & all that good stuff that moms & daughters do.

Just 4 1/2 more months until we'll meet this baby girl growing inside of me :) I'm so excited! I'm really at a loss for words.

A New Addition to the Family

World, meet Belle :) We got her this past Sunday. She's a blue nose pitbull & the most sweetest dog ever. She loves to cuddle & she's so smart. I managed to teach her how to sit, shake hands, give five & lie down on command within a matter of 3 days. I'm so proud of her accomplishments. She's 9 weeks old & I know that she looks huge in photos but in person she's actually not that big YET.

Pat's parents are a little skeptical about having a pit around because they are not a fan of big dogs. We're hoping that they'll change their minds & see how sweet pitbulls can be if they are taken care of properly & shown affection. I've had pitbulls when I was younger & they can be really sweet & loving dogs if you do take care of them & treat them right. It would break my heart if we had to give her away because Pat's parents refuse to have her around :( *crossing fingers* for the best.

We've been taking her on walks, atleast twice a day so she gets used to being around people. I also painted her nails! LOL. Everyone loves it! One thing is that she's a super lazy dog. She hates being on her leash & she won't walk unless we take her leash off haha. She's so silly & we are totally in love with her.

Nudy Brown lenses

Tutorial Instructions:
1. Apply a primer/base all over your eyelid. This will help the shadow adhere to your lids, help with the longevity & vibrancy of the eyeshadow & it will prevent creasing.

2. Take the WnW Comfort Zone palette & apply the "eyelid" color all over your lids & up to the crease with a flat shader brush.

3. With a fluffy brush, blend out any harsh lines. Next, using the same brush, apply a light brown color above the crease. I used MAC's Soft Brown eyeshadow.

4. With the same fluffy brush, apply a dark medium brown color all over the crease. Preferably a matte finish. I used MAC's Charcoal Brown eyeshadow.

5. Next take a stiff dome brush & use the "definer" eyeshadow from the palette & apply into the outter corner/outter v part of your eyes.

6. Take a fluffy brush & blend out any harsh lines.

7. Next take a dense brush & apply whatever highlight you wish on your brow bone. In this case I used MAC's Ricepaper eyeshadow. Make sure to drag the color downwards to help blend everything together.

8. Grab a pencil brush & apply the "browbone" color from the palette & apply this color to the inner corner of your eyes to make your eyes pop. Drag this color along the inner corners of the bottom lash line as well.

9. Using the same pencil brush, apply the "eyelid" color from the palette on the lower lash line right next to where you placed the "browbone" color.

10. Using the same pencil brush, apply the "definer" color next to where you placed the "eyelid" color. Make sure you blend the colors so they fade into eachother.

11. Line your waterline with your choice of eyeliner. Also line your upper lashline & wing out the eyeliner just a little.

12. Curl your lashes, apply false eyelashes & use mascara to combine your real lashes with the false ones.

13. Do you face makeup the way you normally do it. Apply your foundation, blush & contour if you wish.

14. Apply your lip products & voila!

Simple right? I hope you guys found this easy. LMK if you guys like this "tutorial" post & if I should do more for future posts.

Review: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner

Have you entered my giveaway? If not, click HERE to enter today! Giveaway ends on September, 18, 2011. This is your chance to win MAC, Sigma, Elf, Wet n' Wild, Sally Hansen & more!!!

This review is long over due & the reason being is I thought that I already did one hahaha. I will be doing a comparison on this conditioner & the Garnier Fructis one as well so be on the look out!

Product name: Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner
Purchased at: Walmart
Product price: $3+

Product claims: With intense, fortifying conditioners, Moist 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep Conditioner is a seriously simple fix for dry, distressed tresses.

Would I re-purchase? Yes.

Final thoughts: I love this conditioner! It really does work. My hair has never felt so moisturized before. It has a coconut scent to it. It smells good, I mean the scent doesn't bother me but I wish it had a different scent instead. All you do is wash your hair & apply some conditioner to your hair. I like to concentrate the product mainly on the bottom half of my hair, especially the tips. You leave the conditioner on for 3 minutes at the least then rinse. Your hair will feel so much smoother & healthier! And for just a little over $3, you can't go wrong.

Canon Crazy ;P

Have you entered my giveaway? If not, click HERE to enter today! Giveaway ends on September, 18, 2011. This is your chance to win MAC, Sigma, Elf, Wet n' Wild, Sally Hansen & more!!!

So for those of you who actually pay attention to any of my blog posts (LMAO), you know that I recently purchased the highly raved about CANON REBEL EOS T3i. Let me tell you that I'm obsessed with this camera. I am not looking to become a professional photographer. I just want basic knowledge on how to use the camera & how to take a great photo with it. Practice makes perfect right?

I'm not saying I'm perfect because I'm nowhere near that, but I've been taking this bad boy pretty much everywhere just to test it out. Here are some photos I've taken so far. I did not edit them at all, besides re-sizing the images in photoshop because they're ginormous! I do apologize if the quality is a little bad. My photoshop is retarted =/

And that couple you just saw in the few last photos were a random couple I saw at the beach. I whipped out my camera to take pictures of the sunset but just so happen they were strolling along the shoreline, right in front of me! So I decided to take pictures of them. I had no idea that he was going to propose to her! It was such an amazing thing to witness! And I'm glad that they didn't say anything when I was taking pictures of them hahaha. I was wondering why they kept posing, like hugging & kissing and when I turned my head, I saw that they were posing for their photographers LMAO. They were doing a photoshoot HAHAHAHAHA.
