Final thoughts: Another drugstore product that is well worth the buy. These are very similiar to MAC's paint pots. Because my eyelids are oily, creamier products tend to crease on me unless I use a base underneath. I can't wear paint pots or these Color Tattoos alone because they will definitely crease & fade throughout the day. Without a base these color tattoos creased on me in less than 5 minutes :/ If I apply a base first such as Urban Decay's Primer Potion or Too Faced Shadow Insurance the color tattoo will definitely stay on with very little to no creasing (depending on how long I wear them for). It's nice to know that you can wear these alone or pack eyeshadow on top of them. So whether you're in a hurry or not it's great knowing that you can whip these cream shadows out & create a look with it.
I can definitely say that I prefer using these as a secondary base rather than a shadow on it's own. Also using a base under these cream shadows definitely brings the color out, making it truer to life. They're very easy to blend & once the shadow is on and has dried, it is not going anywhere! If you have oily eyelids like I do, I suggest you wear these as a base & use some kind of eyeshadow to set it with. I found that works best for me -- no creasing or fading of any kind.
As far as color range goes, I think Maybelline put out some gorgeous colors BUT they're not suitable for everyone. Not many people are comfortable with wearing bright & bold eyeshadows. I am totally fine with rocking color on my eyelids but for those who are just starting out in makeup, this specific product has only 3 colors which I would classify as "neutral". With these flying off the shelves though, I hope Maybelline extends their color selection.
I'm sure many of you purchased these. What do you guys think of them? Were they hard to find in your area? I know I had a hard time getting these. LMK your thoughts in the comments :)
